DDS, PhD. Professor and Chair of Periodontology at the University of Bologna, and one of the most influential figures in contemporary periodontal and peri-implant plastic surgery.
About the speaker
For more than three decades, his research and clinical work have helped shape modern concepts of soft tissue management around teeth and dental implants.
He received his DDS and PhD in Medical Biotechnology from the University of Bologna and has been a faculty member since 2000. He also serves as Director of postgraduate master's programmes in Soft Tissue Management Around Teeth and Implants and Periodontology and Implantology, educating clinicians from around the world.
He has authored more than 140 peer-reviewed scientific publications, contributed chapters to leading textbooks including Clinical Periodontology and Implant Dentistry by Lindhe and Lang, and written internationally recognised books such as Mucogingival Esthetic Surgery and Mucogingival Esthetic Surgery Around Implants, now considered standard references in the field.
